Oat flakes are a well-balanced natural food. They are produced from the whole grain and preserve all the nutrients: proteins, vitamins, carbohydrates and minerals. Do not contain cholesterol. Abound in dietary fiber. Suitable for diabetics.
The oat is a cereal with incredible characteristics. It is rich in protein, vitamins (B group, vitamins K, E, D and provitamin A), minerals (calcium, phosphorus, potassium, iron, copper, zinc, manganese, sodium, magnesium, sulfur, iodine, fluorine and boron) and essential amino acids which encourage the formation of red blood cells. The oat contains a growth hormone and is therefore recommendable for children. It has proved successful when treating diabetes (it has a similar effect as the insulin) and for that reason is a great food for diabetics.
The oat is known as a grain of health. Its regular consumption elevates mood, increases alertness and working capacity. According to the oat expert and author of the book “Oat – the element of modern diet”, Dr. Vandel Gansman, this is due to substances known as “amini for alertness”. These substances, which are made out of the proteins in the oat, affect the release of dopamine into the body, a pro-adrenalin of the serotonin “the hormone of happiness”. Thanks to these processes, the oat flakes not only improve concentration and working ability, but also affect mood in a positive sense. The oat flakes, germs and flour have proved to be an efficient way for reducing the level of fats in the blood. That is mainly because the oat contains soluble dietary fiber five times more compared to the other grains. They neutralize the acid in the gall bladder created out of the cholesterol and reduce the chances of developing cholesterol at the same time.
The oat flakes are one of the richest products of B1 vitamin (thiamin) and just 100 grams of flakes meet 40% of the daily need for this vitamin, essential for the proper function of the nerves and muscles. In light of all these characteristics of the oat follows Dr. Gansman’s recommendation that it is good to start every morning with a bowl of cornflakes so that you get an incredibly nutritional, healthy and curative meal.
The oat as a cure
In addition to being used in food, the oat can be used as a cure for diseases of: the kidneys, urinary bladder, urinary tract, stomach, guts, gall bladder tract (cirrhosis, hepatitis); blood cleansing, or when treating diabetes, leukemia, gangrene, various inflammation, spleen, pancreas and uterus conditions.
