Ace Plus Tablet

Overview

Ace Plus Tablet contains Paracetamol 500 mg and Caffeine 65 mg, manufactured by Square Pharmaceuticals PLC. The addition of caffeine enhances the analgesic effect of paracetamol and is indicated for headache, migraine, toothache, bodyache, and other mild to moderate pain conditions.

Dosage and Administration

Adults: 1-2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as required, up to a maximum of 8 tablets daily.

Interaction

Patients who have taken barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants or alcohol may show diminished ability to metabolise large doses of paracetamol. Caffeine may interact with other stimulants.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Paracetamol or Caffeine.

Side Effects

Side effects are usually mild; insomnia, restlessness, and palpitation may occur due to the caffeine component. Rare allergic reactions have also been reported.

Pregnancy and Lactation

Use during pregnancy and lactation should be limited and only on the advice of a physician, due to the caffeine content.

Precautions and Warnings

Use with caution in patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment, anxiety disorders, or sensitivity to caffeine. Do not exceed the stated dose.
