Alacot DS (Eye drop) 5ml drop

Overview

Alacot DS 0.2% Ophthalmic Solution contains Olopatadine Hydrochloride, manufactured by Square Pharmaceuticals PLC. It is a once-daily formulation indicated for the treatment of signs and symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis, including itchy, watery, red and swollen eyes and eyelids.

Dosage and Administration

Instill one drop in each affected eye once daily, or as advised by the physician.

Interaction

No clinically significant drug interactions have been reported with ophthalmic Olopatadine.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Olopatadine or any other ingredient of the formulation.

Side Effects

Common side effects include mild burning or stinging sensation, headache, and dry eye. These are usually transient.

Use during pregnancy and lactation only if clearly needed and under medical supervision, as adequate human studies are lacking.

Precautions and Warnings
