4. Dosage and Administration

Arthritis (long-term): 500 mg twice daily; reduce to lowest effective maintenance dose. Maximum 1,000 mg/day for long-term use.

Acute Gout: 750 mg initially, then 250 mg every 8 hours until attack resolves.

Dysmenorrhoea / Acute Musculoskeletal Pain: 500 mg initially, then 250 mg every 6–8 hours. Max 1,375 mg on day 1, then 1,100 mg/day.

Elderly: Start at 250 mg twice daily. Use lowest effective dose. Monitor BP and renal function.

Administration: Take with food, milk, or antacid to reduce GI irritation. Drink a full glass of water.
