Overview

Ansulin R Pen Cartridge contains Regular Insulin Human (rDNA), a short-acting insulin manufactured by Square Pharmaceuticals PLC, formulated for use with a compatible reusable insulin pen device to control postprandial blood glucose in diabetes mellitus.

Dosage and Administration

Dose is individualized based on blood glucose monitoring, typically given subcutaneously 15-30 minutes before meals using a compatible insulin pen device, two to three times daily.

Interaction

Beta-blockers, MAO inhibitors, and alcohol may potentiate hypoglycaemic effects. Corticosteroids and thiazide diuretics may reduce insulin's effect.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients with hypoglycaemia and known hypersensitivity to insulin human.

Side Effects

Hypoglycaemia, injection site reactions, and lipodystrophy. Allergic reactions are rare.
