Dosage and Administration
Schizophrenia: 10-15 mg once daily, up to a maximum of 30 mg daily. Bipolar mania: 15 mg once daily as monotherapy. Adjunctive depression therapy: 2-5 mg once daily, titrated as advised by the physician.
Interaction
CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole) and CYP2D6 inhibitors (e.g., fluoxetine, paroxetine) may increase aripiprazole levels, requiring dose reduction. CYP3A4 inducers (e.g., carbamazepine) may decrease its effect.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to aripiprazole.
