Overview

Becospray Nasal Spray contains Beclomethasone Dipropionate, manufactured by Square Pharmaceuticals PLC. It is a corticosteroid nasal spray used for the prevention and treatment of allergic and non-allergic rhinitis, including nasal congestion, sneezing, and itching.

Dosage and Administration

Adults and children over 6 years: 2 sprays in each nostril twice daily, which may be reduced to once daily once symptoms are controlled, or as advised by the physician.

Interaction

Concomitant use with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors may increase systemic corticosteroid exposure. No clinically significant interactions are expected at recommended doses.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to beclomethasone dipropionate, untreated localized nasal infections, and recent nasal surgery or trauma.

Side Effects

Nasal irritation, dryness, epistaxis (nosebleed), and unpleasant taste or smell. Nasal septal perforation is a rare but serious side effect with prolonged use.

Use during pregnancy and lactation only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk, as with other corticosteroids.

Precautions and Warnings
