Overview
Bimator Eye Drop contains a fixed-dose combination of Bimatoprost and Timolol, manufactured by Square Pharmaceuticals PLC. It is used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are insufficiently responsive to monotherapy with a beta-blocker or prostaglandin analogue.
Dosage and Administration
One drop in the affected eye(s) once daily, in the morning, or as advised by the physician. If using other topical ophthalmic products, instil them at least 5 minutes apart.
Interaction
Timolol may interact with systemic beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, and other agents affecting cardiac conduction; caution is advised with concurrent use of oral beta-blockers or antiarrhythmics.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with reactive airway disease (including bronchial asthma or history of bronchial asthma, severe COPD), sinus bradycardia, second- or third-degree atrioventricular block, overt cardiac failure, or known hypersensitivity to any component.
Side Effects
Conjunctival hyperaemia, eyelash growth, eye irritation, and growth of darker eyelashes. Systemic absorption of timolol may rarely cause bradycardia or bronchospasm in susceptible individuals.

Use during pregnancy and lactation only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus or infant; consult a physician before use.
Precautions and Warnings
Use with caution in patients with a history of intraocular inflammation, compromised cornea, or cardiovascular/respiratory disease. May cause gradual changes to eyelashes and periorbital pigmentation. Wait at least 15 minutes after use before inserting contact lenses.
Storage Conditions
Store below 30°C, protected from light. Discard 4 weeks after opening. Keep out of the reach of children.
