Overview

Bisocor Plus 5/6.25 Tablet contains a fixed-dose combination of Bisoprolol Fumarate and Hydrochlorothiazide, manufactured by Square Pharmaceuticals PLC. It is used in the management of hypertension, particularly when blood pressure is not adequately controlled on either agent alone.

Dosage and Administration

Usually 1 tablet once daily in the morning, or as advised by the physician, based on individual blood pressure response.

Interaction

Concomitant use with other antihypertensives, NSAIDs, lithium, or other diuretics may alter blood pressure control and electrolyte balance. Caution with calcium channel blockers and antidiabetic agents.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in severe renal impairment, anuria, refractory hypotension, acute heart failure, severe bradycardia, AV block, and known hypersensitivity to sulfonamide-derived drugs.

Side Effects

Dizziness, fatigue, hypotension, electrolyte disturbances (hypokalemia), and gastrointestinal upset.
