Overview

Ceevit Forte 1000 mg Tablet contains a high-strength dose of Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), manufactured by Square Pharmaceuticals PLC. It is used as a therapeutic Vitamin C supplement to treat or prevent severe ascorbic acid deficiency, support wound healing, boost immune defence, and provide antioxidant support in adults.

Dosage and Administration

Adults: 1 tablet once daily, or as prescribed by the physician. Take with or after meals to minimise gastric irritation.

Interaction

High-dose Vitamin C may enhance iron absorption and may interfere with anticoagulant therapy at very high doses. Avoid concurrent intake of large amounts of supplemental iron unless medically indicated.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in known hypersensitivity to ascorbic acid, and caution in patients with a history of renal oxalate stones or glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency at high doses.

Side Effects

Generally well tolerated; high doses may cause gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, diarrhoea, and increased risk of renal oxalate stones with prolonged use.
