Overview

Filfresh (Melatonin 3 mg) is a hormone naturally secreted by the pineal gland that helps regulate other hormones and maintains the body's circadian rhythm. Darkness stimulates melatonin production while light suppresses its activity. Filfresh is indicated for the short-term regulation of sleep patterns including jet lag, insomnia associated with disrupted circadian rhythms, and sleep disorders in children with learning disabilities. Melatonin also possesses antioxidant properties and helps strengthen the immune system.

Dosage and Administration

Jet lag: 0.5 to 5 mg one hour before bedtime at the final destination, or 1 to 5 mg one hour before bedtime for 2 days prior to departure and 2 to 3 days upon arrival. Depression: 0.125 mg twice in the late afternoon, each dose 4 hours apart. Sarcoidosis: 20 mg per day for 4 to 12 months. Children (6 months to 14 years): 0.30 mg/day for sleep disorders. Always follow the physician's instructions.
