Indication:
Gutfix® (Lubiprostone) is used to treat-
• Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation (IBS-C) and Functional constipation of children
• Chronic Idiopathic Constipation (CIC)
• Opioid Induced Constipation (OIC)
Lubiprostone is the first and only USFDA approved Chloride channel activator for the management of IBS-C, CIC & OIC. It works locally in the intestine to help activating the chloride channels in the intestine and facilitates body’s natural function by increasing fluid secretion and transit in the intestine. It also protects and repair intestinal barrier, thereby reduces inflammation and abdominal pain associated with constipation.

Dosage & Administration:
Adults:
IBS-C: 01 Gutfix 8 licap twice daily.
CIC: 01 Gutfix 24 licap twice daily.
OIC: 01 Gutfix 24 licap twice daily.

Children (3 to 17 years):
For functional constipation- 01 Gutfix 8 licap once daily.

Preparation:
Gutfix® 8: Each box contains 20 liquid filled capsules.
Gutfix® 24: Each box contains 20 liquid filled capsules.
