DESCRIPTION

Pilestop is a fixed dose combination of Diosmin and Hesperidin. It is a phlebotonic drug and a vascular protecting agent. It increases venous tone by prolonging the vasoconstrictor effect of noradrenaline on the vessel wall, and reduces blood venous stasis. It reduces the inflammatory process at the microcirculatory level, by inhibiting the adhesion, migration, and activation of leukocytes. This reduces capillary hyperpermeability and increases capillary resistance. It increases lymphatic contractions and improves lymphatic drainage.

COMPOSITION

Each film-coated tablet contains micronised Diosmin BP 450 mg and Hesperidin INN 50 mg.

INDICATIONS

Acute hemorrhoidal attacks.

Chronic hemorrhoidal disease.

Chronic venous insufficiency.

Lymphedema 

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION

Tablet should be taken at meal times.

OR AS DIRECTED BY THE PHYSICIAN.

SIDE EFFECTS

Some cases of minor gastrointestinal and autonomic disorders have been reported, but these never required cessation of treatment.

USE IN PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

Pregnancy: Experimental studies in animal have not demonstrated any teratogenic effects and no harmful effects have been reported in man to date.

Lactation: In the absence of data concerning the diffusion into breast milk, breast-feeding is not recommended during treatment.
