Camlopril 5/10 mg Capsule contains a fixed-dose combination of Amlodipine Besilate and Benazepril Hydrochloride, manufactured by Square Pharmaceuticals PLC. It combines a calcium channel blocker and an ACE inhibitor for the management of hypertension in patients who require dual antihypertensive therapy.
Dosage and Administration
Usually 1 capsule once daily, with or without food, or as prescribed by the physician. Dose may be titrated based on blood pressure response.
Interaction
Concomitant use with potassium-sparing diuretics, potassium supplements, or NSAIDs may increase the risk of hyperkalaemia or renal impairment. CYP3A4 inhibitors may increase amlodipine exposure. Avoid grapefruit juice.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with a history of ACE inhibitor-induced angioedema, bilateral renal artery stenosis, pregnancy (second and third trimester), and known hypersensitivity to either component.
