Interaction

Probenecid increases ceftibuten concentration. Warfarin anticoagulant effect may be potentiated.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to ceftibuten, cephalosporins, or penicillins.

Diarrhoea, nausea, and abdominal discomfort. Rash and allergic reactions may occur rarely.
