DESCRIPTION

Nutrum Super is specially formulated with antioxidant vitamins and minerals to provide full spectrum antioxidant protection. It supplies all the nutrients needed for protecting body cells against the harmful effects of free radicals & for maintaining healthy immune system.

Vitamin A is essential for vision, dental development, growth, epithelial tissue differentiation, embryonic development,reproduction and maintenance of mucus membrane. BetaCarotene (provitamin A) serves as an antioxidant. Both enhance immune function, reduce the consequences of some infectious diseases and lower the incidence of lung cancer and cardiovascular diseases.

Vitamin C is related to the synthesis of collagen, proteoglycans and other organic constituents in tooth, bone and capillary endothelium, heals wound, helps in the absorption of iron and acts as an antioxidant to inactivate free radicals.

Vitamin E is an antioxidant and prevents oxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acids. It is used in cancer, skin conditions, sexual dysfunction, to lower the incidence of myocardial infarction & coronary artery diseases, and in arthritis and tardive dyskinesia.

Vitamin K is necessary for the production of blood clotting factors and proteins necessary for the normal calcification of bone. It is a key anti-aging vitamin & prevents heart diseases & osteoporosis.

Zinc helps in normal growth and tissue repair, acts as an integral part of several enzymes important to protein and carbohydrate metabolism. It is a cofactor of antioxidant enzyme cytosolic superoxide dismutase.

Selenium acts as cofactor of antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase. It shows synergistic antioxidant effect with vitamin E. It reduces risk of certain cancers & cardiovascular diseases, helps maintain proper immune system.

Copper is an important cofactor of endogenous antioxidant enzyme systems, part of proteins & enzymes involved in brain & red cell function.

Manganese is a cofactor of Super Oxide Dismutase (SOD) in mitochondria; necessary for normal bone growth, connective tissue development and normal reproduction.

Each film-coated Nutrum Super tablet contains:

Vitamin A (20% as Beta-Carotene) 2000 IU

Vitamin C 200 mg

Vitamin E 50 IU

Vitamin K 75 mcg

Zinc 15 mg

Selenium 70 mcg

Copper mg

Manganese 3 mg

INDICATIONS

To prevent many degenerative conditions like cardiovascular and lung diseases, cataracts, dementia and aging.

To prevent certain types of cancer by blocking the formation of cancer causing substances in the body.

To maintain healthy immune system.

To prevent the deficiency diseases of these vitamin and minerals.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

One tablet daily with food

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Nutrum Super is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

PRECAUTIONS

Vitamin A, in high doses, may be associated with birth defects. Pregnant woman or nursing mother should contact a doctor before taking the supplement.

SIDE EFFECTS

No absolute side effects have been reported. Vitamin C & vitamin E in large doses may cause diarrhoea & other gastrointestinal disturbances.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

No prominent drug interaction has been reported.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Long-term intake of high levels of vitamin A (excluding that sourced from beta-carotene) may increase the risk of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Do not take this product if taking other vitamin A supplements.
