DESCRIPTION

SUCROL (Aspartame) is a low-calorie (0.2 calorie/tablet) natural sweetener, which is constituted by two amino acids- Aspartic acid and Phenylalanine. Aspartame exhibits normal sugar like taste but is approximately 200 times sweeter than sugar. Aspartame enhances fruit flavour such as orange flavour and reduces the bitterness of coffee. SUCROL is safe and easily digested and unlike other sweeteners, does not cause tooth decay. The process of digestion, absorption and metabolism of aspartame is similar to that of protein in usual foods.

COMPOSITION

SUCROL : Each tablet contains Aspartame USP 18 mg equivalent to 1 teaspoonful of sugar in sweetness.

INDICATIONS

SUCROL can be used as sweetener in different foods like pudding, milk products, jelly, fruit juices, desserts, hot and cold beverage. Due to low calorie sweetener it is a nice preparation for the health conscious people. SUCROL can be a unique choice for the diabetic patients who have excess amount of glucose in blood.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

The acceptable daily intake (ADI) of SUCROL (Aspartame) is 40 mg per kg of body weight. Normally one or two tablets in a cup of tea or coffee is enough to sweeten the drink.

PRECAUTIONS

In high temperature Aspartame is disintegrated into its component parts, which results in a loss of natural sweetness. Aspartame should be kept in normal temperature and dry place.
