KAMOMIL Oral Spray

Kamomil is a herbal anti-inflammatory oral spray. It is a preparation of German chamomile with other herbs.

Comp: Each ml contains 370.5mg Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) standardized extract with peppennint oil 18.5mg, Sage oil 6mg, Anise oil 7mg, Pine neddle oil lmg, Bergamot oil 0.5mg,

Eucalyptol 5mg and Methyl salicylate lmg. Action & mode of action: German chamomile (matricaria recutita): The active constituents of chamomile are mainly volatile oil (bisabolol, bisabolol oxides A and B, chamazulene or azulenesse). These active ingredients contribute to chamomile’s anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and smooth-muscle relaxing action. Chamazulene has strong anti-inflammatory activity. It has been shown to block the cyclooxygenase enzyme in the symthesis of prostaglandins.

Ind: Inflammation of buccal and pharyngeal cavity; acute gingivitis; pain after tooth extrac¬tion; mucosal irritation caused by dental plates; tonsillary angina; canker sores; bad breath.

C/I: Chamomile oral spray should not be administered in patients with known allergy to any members of the asteraceae family.

S/E: In patients with known allergy to anethole, intolerance reactions may occur.

Precautions & warnings: Do not spray directly into the nose. Should not be administered in infants and children.

Pregnancy & lactation: Excessive use of chamomile oral spray during pregnancy and lactation should be avoided.

Dosage & admin: Adults: Inflamed areas in the mouth and pharynx to be sprayed 3 times daily. 2 puffs are equivalent to 1 fully effective single dose. It is recommended to carry out the spray treatment after meals.

Children: Not recommended for the children under 12 years.

Drug inter: Do not use together with aspirin, warfarin or other anticoagulants.
