Calbo C Tablet

Overview

Calbo-C Tablet contains a combination of Calcium Lactate Gluconate, Calcium Carbonate, and Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), manufactured by Square Pharmaceuticals PLC. It provides a highly bioavailable calcium source together with Vitamin C, which enhances calcium absorption, used to prevent and treat calcium deficiency and to support bone and immune health.

Dosage and Administration

Dissolve one tablet in a glass of water and drink immediately, once daily or as advised by the physician. Best taken with or after meals.

Interaction

Calcium may reduce absorption of certain antibiotics, bisphosphonates, and iron if taken simultaneously; maintain a 2-hour interval. High-dose Vitamin C may increase iron absorption.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in hypercalcaemia, renal calculi (calcium-type), and known hypersensitivity to any component.

Side Effects

Generally well tolerated; mild gastrointestinal discomfort or flatulence may occur. Excessive intake may cause hypercalcaemia.

Pregnancy and Lactation

Safe to use during pregnancy and lactation at recommended doses; calcium and Vitamin C requirements increase during pregnancy, under medical supervision.

Precautions and Warnings

Do not exceed the recommended dose. Use with caution in patients with renal impairment or history of kidney stones.

Store below 30°C, in a dry place, protected from moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
